ACT announces community grant recipients

To the Editor:
The board of directors of Altamont Community Tradition is pleased to announce the recipients of our annual Community Grant program. The program is intended to expand our giving to a wider range of organizations who preserve our history and strengthen the village through engaging activities.

Funded by event revenues and other generous gifts, these small grants (up to $500) are donated annually to projects of local not-for-profit organizations that align with ACT’s mission of historic preservation and/or strengthening the village community.

These are the 2024 Community Grant recipients:

— Altamont Elementary School PTA for the purchase of sports and activity equipment for use by students during recess; and

— Altamont Fair Historical Committee for the purchase of signage for a special fair exhibit on events marking its 130-year history.
