Nurse Snyder retires, is celebrated

BERNE — Jane Snyder, a licensed practical nurse who has been serving the Berne-Knox-Westerlo area for 45 years, is retiring.

“Jane has been a trusted, respected, and loved member of our practice and for the entire community, so we want to celebrate her,” said Dr. Kristin Mack in an email to The Enterprise.

She started working for Dr. Margery Smith, then worked with Dr. Gary Kolanchick and has remained at Family Medicine Berne, with Mack.

She will retire at the end of April.

Kolanchick, with Family Medicine Berne helping, is hosting a retirement party for her on June 2 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Maple Inn.

The party will be free of charge for participants, but those who want to attend must, by May 30, call the doctor’s office at 518-872-9262, or come by the office, to note a dinner preference of chicken, eggplant parm, or haddock.
