To the Editor:
Have you ever been interested in volunteering for your local fire department as a firefighter or an auxiliary member? Now is the time!

This coming weekend is the Recruit NY campaign and the Knox Fire Department is holding an open house for anyone interested in learning more about firefighting or the auxiliary.

Please join us on Sunday, April 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 2198 Berne-Altamont Rd. in Knox for some hands-on demonstrations and to check out the apparatus. There will be fun activities for all ages.

There is a job for everyone so don’t be shy! Stop by and see what you can do for your community when an emergency strikes. We can’t do it without you!
