Buy a beautiful bowl to support the Berne Library

To the Editor:

Buy a unique handmade soup bowl, fill it with homemade soup or chili made by the Friends of the Berne Library, and support summer reading programs at the Berne Public Library!

At the fourth annual Bowls for Books event on Saturday, April 13, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the library community room, you can buy a bowl for $12 (children 12 and under pay $10).

These bowls were made on a pottery wheel by Berne-Knox-Westerlo art teacher Colleen Skiff. Colleen taught community members how to carve and glaze the bowls. The bowls are microwave-safe and beautiful!

Beverages and desserts will be served. Hope you can join us for this tasty event to support literacy.
