Switzkill Farm is a local treasure

To the Editor:

Last weekend, I attended the Switzkill Farm breakfast and snowshoe event along with my family. After a free, hearty meal in the lodge, we headed outside to enjoy the remarkable property.

There is really nothing like Switzkill Farm anywhere in Albany County. I have visited in every season, and there is still more to discover each time I visit. The fact that it now belongs to the people of Berne is a minor miracle and a cause for celebration.

I am so grateful that this local treasure remains open and available for everyone to explore. And on Sunday I saw many others who feel the same way. May my own children one day be able to bring their families to enjoy Switzkill Farm, too.
