REQUEST TO BIDDERS - USED FORD SUV 
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received for the purchase of (1) used Ford SUV. The minimum requirements for purchase are listed below: 
- Ford Edge or Explorer SUV 
- 2021 or Newer 
- Less than 28,000 miles on the vehicle  
- EcoBoost gasoline engine, not a Hybrid 
- Automatic Transmission 
- SEL Trim or better 
- No restriction on color 
- NYS DMV vehicle inspection 
Bids will be received until 10:00 A.M. Thursday April 10, 2025 at which time bids will be opened and  read aloud, at the Town Clerk’s office. Town Hall, 5209 Western Turnpike, Guilderland, NY. 
Bids shall be in duplicate, in sealed envelopes, which shall bear on the face thereof the name and  address of bidder, and the subject of the bid. Certification of Non-Collusion/Waiver of Immunity must  be attached to each bid.

Public Hearing 
NRI and Open Space Plan Advisory Committee
April 9, 2025, at 6:00 PM
 A Public Hearing will be held at Town Hall, 2029 New Scotland Road Slingerlands, New York 12159, at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, regarding NRI and Open Space Plan Advisory Committee.  This Public Hearing was rescheduled from 3/12/2025 at 6:00 PM.   This 2025 Plan is proposed to be adopted as an addenda to the 2018 Town of New Scotland Comprehensive Plan.
 The draft plan is available for review on the Town Website at https://www.townofnewscotland.com.  It is also available for inspection in person at the Town of New Scotland offices at 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands. Written comments shall be accepted through March 15, 5:00 PM at 2029 New Scotland Road, Slingerlands, NY 12159, or emailed to   or dropped off at Town Hall during Town Clerk hours.

LEGAL NOTICE
Resolution for Permissive Referendum
WHEREAS, pursuant to General Municipal Law §6-g, the Fort Hunter Fire District, Town of Guilderland, County of Albany, State of New York did establish the “Apparatus Reserve Fund”, a Capital Reserve Fund to finance the cost of acquisition of fire fighting vehicles for the Fort Hunter Fire District.
WHEREAS, the Fort Hunter Fire District has moved to purchase two pickup trucks, and the related cost needed to equip and prepare the pickup trucks for service to the Fort Hunter Fire District
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Fort Hunter Fire District is hereby authorized to expend up to from the Apparatus Reserve Fund an amount not to exceed $200,000.00 for the purchase a two pickup trucks and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution and this expenditure is subject to a permissive referendum

Construction Contract: McKownville FD is soliciting bid proposals from qualified general contractors to provide material & labor to prepare the site and erect a 3,200 SF pre-engineered metal building to be used for 18-24 months as a temporary storage building for fire trucks and other equipment. Form of contract will be AIA Doc A104 – 2017 “Standard Abbreviated Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor”, as amended by Owner

Bid Submission: Bids will be opened publicly by the Fire District on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Contract Bids shall remain in effect for 45 days following the Bid Opening. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Following Contract Award Notification the Owner intends to execute the contract within two weeks. Immediately upon receipt of Notice of Award from Owner, Contractor shall begin preparing insurance certificates and other required pre-construction submittals. 
Project Scope: General Contractor to provide all labor & material to prepare site and to erect a 40 x 80 (3,200 SF) pre-engineered metal storage building (Bldg Materials package to be furnished to GC at 1257 Western Ave, Albany, NY for off-loading, handling & erection). Work includes all necessary site prep (cuts as necessary, fine grading & install 6” crusher run for level bldg.. pad area 82 LF x 44 LF x 6” thick / Box out driveway & truck turn around area (approx. area 5K SF)  to allow for 4”-6” graded & rolled crusher run to meet existing concrete sidewalk on Western Ave. and new bldg. pad elevation at truck bay OH doors (see attached prelim site plan) / Note: Existing concrete sidewalks and curb cut apron are to remain and be protected during construction. Install helical pile bldg. foundation system / metal bldg. erection package incl install of doors, windows, hardware & insulation / F&I two each insulated metal OH bay doors with motorized operators / thru wall exhaust fan in rear wall / Electrical service main (NGRID service entry cost by Owner) / Electrical per plans & specs (Service gear, interior & exterior lighting, general purpose outlets, switches, power to OH door operators, power & switch to thru-wall box fan for vehicle exhaust, three electric structure hung unit heaters, smoke & carbon monoxide detection). Project Milestone Schedule: Project must be at Final Completion no later than June 15, 2025
Contractor Qualifications: Following forms must be submitted with Bid Proposal: 1) NYS Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire (CCA-2) 2) Non-Collusion form         
Tax Exempt: The Owner is exempt from paying sales tax. A copy of the governmental entities (Fire Districts) tax exemption letter from NYS  Department of Taxation & Finance is included in the “Supplements” section of Bid Documents.  Bids should reflect that sales tax is not being charged.
Requests for Information: Questions and/or clarifications from prospective bidders prior to Bid Submission must be in writing and shall be directed to AKW Consulting, Inc.
NYS Prevailing Wage Rates: Are in effect on this Project. Refer to the latest NYS Wage Rate schedule posted on the NYS DOL website. Certified Payroll reports will be required with Application for Payment.
Pay Apps: To be submitted in a AIA G702 & G703 format. Prime Contractor to provide a Draft Schedule of Values on a G702 for review and approval. There will be 5% Retainage held on this contract. 
Change Orders: Allowable OH&P markups on any approved change orders will be a straight 15% for the Prime Contractor as well as for any Subcontractor. Allowable Prime markup on any Subcontractor will be an additional 5% OH&P
Permits: As it is a temp storage bldg. the Town of Guilderland is not requiring a building permit. Any other required permit, permit fee, operating fee, disposal fee required by the municipality, county, NYS or any governing authority is the responsibility of the specific contractor whose work it falls under. Electrical contractor to provide inspection by 3rd party electrical inspector.
Laws & Regulations: All applicable state laws, municipal ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over the Project shall apply to the Contract throughout, and they will be deemed to be included in the Contract the same as though herein written out in full. 
Safety: Contractor is required to have a safety plan, and every worker employed on the Project must carry on them a copy of a bona fide OSHA 10 hour safety training course completion card. All OSHA information must be delivered to the Owner prior to any worker being allowed to begin any work.
Insurances: The liability policy must state that the following entities are to be Additional Named Insureds: McKownville Fire District, AKW Consulting, Inc and the Town of Guilderland
Affirmative Action Provision: During the performance of this Contract, contractor agrees they will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability. Contractor agrees to include, or require the inclusion of this provision, in any contract or subcontract made pursuant to its contract with the Owner.
