Edith Williamson 

EAST BERNE — Edith Williamson, a loving mother and grandmother, died peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023. She was 95.

She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Elsie Bartels and the wife of the late Merlin Williamson.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Rabideau, and her husband, Rick; by her son, Guy Williamson; by her granddaughter, Stacey Carson-Rose, and her husband, George; and by her great-grandchildren, Zoe, Mackenzie, and Kassidy.

In addition to her parents and husband, her brother, Donald Bartels, died before her.

The family would like to thank Edith’s nephew, Clark Adams, for his kindness. 

At her request, all services were held privately.

Memorial donations to an animal shelter of one’s choice would be appreciated.

    Born at home in Watervliet in July 1925, she was the third child of Phillip and Rose (née Dean) Beeler.
