Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Board of Town of New Scotland, New York will hold a public hearing pursuant to Chapter 190, Article IX, Section 190-73 of the Zoning Law on the following proposition:

A Public Hearing for Variance Application # 532

Variance Application # 532: Application Submitted by Matthew Malark requesting relief from Article II, Section 190-12 (B)& (B)(1) of the Town of New Scotland’s Zoning Law to allow for an detached garage to be constructed partially within the front set back on a parcel. The parcel is located within the “RA” district at 365 New Salem Road. The parcel is owned by the applicant, is identified as New Scotland Tax parcel id # 72.-1-28.10. The “RA” district has a front setback of 65 feet from the center of the road plus an additional 30 foot setback on state roads. This request is for 23 feet of relief to allow for structure to be located 72 feet from the center of the road instead of the required 95 foot setback. 

Said hearing will take place on March 26, 2019 at the New Scotland Town Hall 7:00 P.M.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Berne invites sealed bids for the furnishing of Asphalt Concrete and fiber winter mix – Dura Patch or equal for the use by the Highway Department of the Town of Berne during the year 2019 if, as, and when required. Successful bidder must guarantee to supply materials for the entire 2019 season.

    Bids are to be submitted with price quoted on a per ton basis FOB at plant and delivered to the Town of Berne. Bids shall be received until 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at which time said bids will be opened and read at the Berne Town Hall, Berne, New York.

Bids shall be in sealed envelopes which shall bear on the face thereof, the name and address of the bidder and the subject of the bid. In cases where two or more bidders submit identical bids as to price, the Town Board may award the contract to either of such bidders. Such bids shall have attached a non-collusive bidding certificate and should be submitted to the Town Clerk, P.O. Box 57, Berne, NY  12023.

The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to split the award of said bids and to purchase said materials through New York State or Albany County Contract in the event that the Town is able to purchase through New York State or Albany County Contract for a price or sum more favorable to the Town at any time during 2019.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the tentative budget for the Village of Voorheesville for the fiscal year June 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020 has been filed with the Village Clerk. Copies may be obtained at Village Hall, 29 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville, NY during office hours 9am – 4pm until Monday, April 1, 2019 when a public hearing will be held at 6:30pm. to consider such budget before final adoption. A workshop will follow.

The annual salaries of the Board of Trustees are as follows:

Mayor: $15,598.00

Trustee: $ 6,625.00 each

The hearing will be held at the Village Hall, 29 Voorheesville Ave, Voorheesville, New York and is open, the public is invited to attend.
