ALTAMONT — On Saturday, May 5, the Altamont Parent-Teacher Association will hold the Albany area’s largest annual community sale. Sales will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and will be found throughout the entire area.

All proceeds will benefit the students of Altamont Elementary School through PTA programs.

The event will take place rain or shine. Shoppers may stop by the Altamont Free Library, the Altamont firehouse, Hungerford Market, the Home Front Café, or Stewart’s to pick up a map that outlines where the participating sales are located and a description of items each has for sale.

Maps will be available beginning after 4 p.m. on Friday, May 4, as well as the morning of the sale.

Reservation forms for those planning to host sales at their homes will be available in late March at the village hall, the library, Hungerford Market, the Home Front Café, and Stewart’s. Residents may also email to obtain the form by email or for further information.

The cost to participate is $20, which includes all advertising and maps done by the PTA. The deadline for registration is April 25.​
