To the Editor:

After much thought, we knew it was best that we cancel two of our events for the post for the safety of the community and our members of the Boyd Hilton Veterans of Foreign Wars and Auxiliary:

— The VFW Breakfast on March 22; and

— The Spring Chicken & Biscuit Dinner.

When things are safe again, we will have a breakfast and, in place of the Chicken & Biscuit Dinner, we will have a Chicken Barbecue.  We will keep you informed of the new dates.

We are in uncharted waters with all the craziness that the coronavirus has created, but the one constant is that we do not want to take any chances or create an environment where anyone unknowingly has the virus and passes it to others.

Please stay safe and follow the instructions you have been given to help combat and control this terrible disease.
