To the Editor:

The Altamont Parade Committee invites Altamont businesses and organizations to join us by creating a float for the Memorial Day Parade on May 21.

The creation has to be an actual float (not a decorated car, but it can be pulled by a car) and it must display a patriotic theme.

Organizations can be marchers displaying a banner, like our Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts who march with us yearly.

If you do not wish to actually enter the parade, you can sponsor the parade with a donation that our ever-growing parade will put to good use!

Either way, please mark May 21 on your calendar and come out to support our fallen vets who paid the ultimate price for our freedom to do this!
