Awards and Achievements
These local students have recently distinguished themselves:
— Natalie Parker of Slingerlands, majoring in bachelor of science in health sciences, has been named a Peer Advisor for the 2022-2023 academic year at Western New England University;
— Melanie Couillard of Delmar, majoring in computer science received a partial scholarship to Rochester Institute of Technology this fall to pursue performing arts and is pursuing instrumental music;
— Albie Snyder of Delmar, majoring in computing security received a partial scholarship to Rochester Institute of Technology this fall to pursue performing arts and is pursuing instrumental music;
— Abigail Nautel of Voorheesville, majoring in medical illustration received a partial scholarship to Rochester Institute of Technology this fall to pursue performing arts and is pursuing instrumental music;
— Emily Borden of Altamont, majoring in mathematics and psychology is participating in Hamilton College's Academic Year in Madrid, Spain (HCAYS), for the fall 2022 semester;
— Emily Norsek of Delmar, majoring in bachelor of science in digital & studio art at SUNY Oneonta featured her artwork in "Project Open Call: Fall 2022;"
— Kathleen McCarthy of Delmar, has been inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society at College of the Holy Cross, the Jesuit honor society founded in 1915;
— Mia Farley of Delmar, majoring in exercise science was one of more than 40 SUNY Oneonta students who provided sports and exercise workshops to local children during a new "Little Red Dragons" at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club (OBGC);
— Celiann Soto Davila of Delmar, received the Richard Siegfried Student Award at SUNY Oneonta this fall 2022 with a grade point average of 3.9 or higher; and
— Michaela Valerian of Delmar, inducted into national honor society for psychology at Quinnipiac University.
