March Into Spring with Christian Women

To the Editor:

The New York Capital District Christian Women’s Connection is sponsoring a “March Into Spring”  luncheon on Wednesday, March 11, at the Guilderland Elks Lodge at 3867 Route 146 (Carman Road) beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Our special feature this month is a visit from Deborah Fowler, part of the Thistle National Network, connecting those directly impacted by abuse, addiction, prostitution, and human trafficking, providing healing and empowerment of women.

Our special speaker is Judith Button from Lockport, New York who will tell  of her experiences — the good and the bad times, of disobedience and obedience, of loss and gain.

Our special music will be from Kathy Dorn who will entertain us with her keyboard.

Reservations are necessary no later than March 6 and, once you’ve made a reservation, you must let us know if you can’t come. Please call Mae at 518-895-8977 to reserve.

On the menu this month is corned beef and cabbage with an alternative choice of grilled-chicken salad. The cost is $16 inclusive (cash only please).

Nursery care is free at the restaurant by reservation only for infants through kindergartners — bring a bag lunch for your child.

All are welcome; bring a friend or your significant other. They’ll be glad you did!
