MARIAVILLE 

There will be a trial before Judge Patterson in the school house Saturday, February 14th. Crosby vs. Olney, in an automobile dispute. 

ALBANY AUTO SHOW TO BE
HELD FEB. 21-28 

The Albany Auto Dealers’ association will hold its fifteenth annual automobile show in the 10th Infantry armory on Washington avenue, Albany, Feb. 21st to 28th. 

Dealers throughout the Capital district look forward to the Albany auto show each year and have already made reservations for accommodations during that week. Factory representatives and expert mechanics will be in attendance to explain the latest improvements in their respective cars. 

SCHOHARIE
Several young people journeyed to Cobleskill on Saturday evening to enjoy roller-skating at the new hall opened recently. 

DELMAR 

The Parent Teachers’ association has arranged a special program for Monday afternoon in honor of Washington’s birthday, in which the school children will have a large part. The children will march over to the Firemen’s Hall at 2:30. The school orchestra will give several selections, and there will be songs and recitations. The speakers for the occasion are Mr. G. F. Peck, commander of Post 5, G. A. R.,. Albany. Mr. Peck will talk on the Civil War, Mr. F. W. Blake of Delmar will speak on the World War, while Major Oscar Smith of Post 5 will speak on Washington and the Revolutionary War. 

VILLAGE NOTES 

— Jacob Weaver is spending a few days with Egbert Ketcham at Thompson’s Lake, and enjoying the fishing through the ice. 

— COMMUNITY SING! To-night at Masonic hall another of those enjoyable Community Sings will be held under auspices of the Colony Club. A male quartette will take part in the program. Elmer A. Tidmarsh of Albany will act as director. Everybody is invited to come and add his or her voice to the community chorus and enjoy the enthusiasm of singing old familiar songs. 

CLARKSVILLE 

— Gulian, the young son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Beck was kicked by a cow Monday, tearing the outer rim of his ear. Dr. H. R. Browne was called and it required eight stitches to close the wound. 

— William C. Latta’s school friends gave a Valentine party at his home Saturday evening. Games were enjoyed and the Hindu fortune teller told each one’s fortune, affording much amusement, after which Mrs. Latta distributed the Valentines of which there were seventy-five. If you wish to know who the popular young lady and gentleman of the evening were, ask Clara Stott and William Latta who received the most Valentines. 

SCHOHARIE AND BARTON HILL 

— Sportsmen of Schoharie county who desire an open season for deer and a shorter season for rabbits in this county will have an opportunity to make their requests in person at an informal hearing to be held in the Assembly parlor, Albany, Monday, February 16, at 2 p.m. 

— Village President Taylor’s Franklin sedan was struck by another car Sunday afternoon as he was driving on the Albany-Schenectady road. The driver carried insurance and has paid for the damage.
