Invitation to Bid
The Knox Fire District is seeking a contractor to make the following renovations to the Knox Fire Station, located at 2198 Berne Altamont Road in the Town of Knox:
 Remove two 14 ft. overhead garage doors
  Frame out the opening for one, centrally located, door
 Reinstall one of the removed garage doors
 Reside the exterior of the building with metal siding to match the existing metal siding
Refinish the interior of the building to match the existing interior 
The District is looking to have this work done in the April – June time frame.
Interested individuals should contact Frank A. Fuss, District Secretary, at 843 697-5962 to schedule an appointment to view the site and discuss the scope of the project.
Sealed bids should be sent to the Knox Fire District, PO Box 3, Knox, NY 12107 prior to March 8, 2022 or delivered in person to the Knox Fire Station between 6 pm and 7 pm on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.  Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Knox Board of Fire Commissioners monthly meeting at 7:15 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS
The Gallupville Rural Cemetery Association is seeking a reliable skilled mower/landscaper to mow approximately 6-1/2 acres of cemetery land with hundreds of graves and monuments.
Mowing season will start on May 1, 2022, and conclude on October 31, 2022, or approximately 21-24 mowings based upon previous years’ experience.
Responsibilities would include mowing and trimming around monuments, along roadways, and also small brush and branch disposal.
Bidder will provide all equipment and fuel.
Bidder will provide proof of Public Liability insurance and Workers Compensation insurance prior to start of the mowing season.

Option to automatically extend successful bidder’s contract for additional one year period with exact same terms and conditions.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Village of Altamont
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village Board of the Village of Altamont will hold a public hearing on March 1, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at the Altamont Village Community Room, 115 Main Street, Altamont, New York, to hear all interested person on proposed Local Law No. 1 of 2022 (Introductory Version No. 2), entitled, A Local Law to Abolish the Existing Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals and to Create a New Zoning Board of Appeals for the Village of Altamont. The proposed local law would abolish the existing Village of Altamont Planning Board and Village of Altamont Zoning Board of Appeals and create a new Zoning Board of Appeals (“ZBA”). The proposed local law has been revised since its introduction to make clear the new ZBA will have five (5) members with two (2) alternates. The purpose in enacting this local law is to provide for a more streamlined and efficient procedure for reviewing land use applications in the Village while maintaining the same substantive requirements for subdivision and the use and development of land as set forth in the Village of Altamont Code, Chapter 315 (“Subdivision”) and Chapter 355 (“Zoning”). The new ZBA would exercise the same powers and duties as the current Zoning Board of Appeals and Planning Board. There would be no Planning Board after the current board is abolished. The local law would take effect on the date of the Village Board’s April 2022 Organizational Meeting. Members of the new ZBA will be appointed at that time subject to approval by the Village Board. The appointment of members will be for a term so fixed that one member’s term will expire at the end of the year in which such member was appointed, and the remaining member’s terms will be fixed so that one members term expires at the end of each official year thereafter.  A copy of the proposed Local Law (Introductory Version No. 1 and Introductory Version No. 2) is available for review at the offices of the Village Clerk located at 115 Main Street, Altamont, New York, 12009 and on the Village’s website at altamontvillage.org.  All persons desiring to speak either on behalf of, or in opposition to, said proposed Law shall be heard by either attending the public hearing or by submitting written comments in advance of the public hearing to the Village Clerk at 115 Main Street, Altamont, NY 12009 or .

TOWN OF RENSSELAERVILLE
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Rensselaerville is inviting Sealed Bids for the following materials to be delivered to the Town Hall and Highway Department, both of which are at 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY 12120 and to other sites throughout the Town.
1. Diesel Fuel, No.2 Fuel Oil, Mid-Grade and Regular Unleaded Gasoline with automatic delivery and 24 hour service.  Bids shall include a fixed price and the Journal of Commerce average posting price.  In the event that the Town runs out of Diesel Fuel, No.2 Fuel Oil, or Gasoline and has to purchase it elsewhere, the Town shall be reimbursed for any additional expenses.
2. No.2 Fuel Oil delivered to Town Hall/Highway Department, the Rensselaerville Library, Rensselaerville Volunteer Fire Company, Medusa Volunteer Fire Company, Tri-Village Volunteer Fire Company and Rensselaerville Public Safety Building. The vendor has a five (5) hour time limit to fill the fuel tank should the building(s) run out of fuel. The vendor is also responsible to assure the heating units are operating within the five (5) hours if the units are off due to running out of fuel. 
3. Heating Unit Service Contracts for the Town Hall/Highway Department, Library, (3) Volunteer Fire Companies and Public Safety Building.
4. Crushed Stone Products, Gravel, Bituminous Asphalt, Asphalt Emulsions, Calcium, Culvert Pipe and Geotextile Fabrics.  
All prices shall be firm for the year.  The contract period for the furnishing of materials and services shall be from April 15, 2021 through April 14, 2023.
Delivery of materials and service contract work shall be during normal business hours. Delivery of materials shall be within 72 hours of notice.
Any materials rejected by the Town shall be replaced within 48 hours by the bidder at no additional cost to the Town.
Bidders may submit bids for any one or all items. Bidders must be qualified suppliers and have sufficient stock on hand for emergencies.
Bids must be submitted on “Bid Proposal Form(s)” and in a Sealed Envelope that is clearly marked with the bidder name, place of business, and item(s) bid.  Faxed or electronically transmitted bids will NOT be accepted.
Bid Proposal Forms may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s Office during normal business hours at 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY 12120. Phone (518) 239-4225.
Bids are to be in the Town Clerk’s Office by March 24, 2022 at 6:45 pm. Bids will be awarded within a reasonable amount of time thereafter.
An award does not guarantee the purchase of any specific amount of material.  The Town reserves the right to purchase from the County or State Contracts if it is in the best interest of the Town.
