To the Editor:

I recommend that everyone listen to the inspiring sermon given by Bishop Mariann Budde at the Service of Prayer for the Nation at the Washington National Cathedral.

She spoke about the basis for unity in our country, and she made a plea for mercy towards all the people who are filled with fear since the change of administration.

Unfortunately, because of her loving words, she is now the target of hate speech. Please listen to what she said and think about it for a while before you go off half-cocked.
