Hoffman appointed dean at Maria College

David Hoffman

David Hoffman has been appointed the associate dean for academic initiatives at Maria College in Albany. Hoffman, who holds a doctorate in bioethics with a concentration in health ethics and policy from Albany Medical College, will also continue in his role as associate professor for ethics and health policy at Maria.

In his new role, Hoffman will work to strengthen and contribute to Maria College’s partnerships with national organizations, partner not-for-profits, academic institutions, and public-health organizations.

Hoffman has been widely published in the areas of healthcare policy, chronic-disease management, and Alzheimer's disease and aging, and is active at the local and national levels in these fields.

In addition to his duties at Maria College, Hoffman holds positions as a clinical professor at the University at Albany School of Public Health and is an adjunct assistant professor at Albany Medical College.

He has served on numerous state and federal advisory groups and regularly presents at major conferences throughout the country. Prior to his appointments at Maria College, Hoffman directed the Bureau of Community Integration and Alzheimer’s Disease at the New York State Department of Health.
