DELANSON

— About twenty men including Masons, Odd Fellows, and Klansmen, from this village, attended a large mass meeting at Gallupville Sunday evening and listened to a very fine address delivered by the Rev. Mr. Black of Central Bridge.

— Sunday evening the ladies and girls of the community listened to Mrs. A. J. Howell, who is Girls’ Counselor of the New York Civic League, while she is not an alarmist she sounded a note of warning to mothers to look after their daughters and to know where they were and to accompany them when possible to different places of amusement and that girls avoid the so called petting parties that our young people talk of today.

GALLUPVILLE
Kindly Kallers Kame to Gallupville M. E. church on Sunday evening in very strong numbers. The special preacher was the Rev. H. H. Black of Central Bridge. There was also a good mixture of fraternal men and women visible. We expect Kindly Kallers Konstantly. The scripture reading was from Isaiah 21 which included the verse, “Watchman, What of the Night.” There certainly are watchmen indeed, who are watching the situation carefully. So watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation.

Schoharie and Barton Hill

Earl Snyder of Schenectady, who was convicted of chicken stealing in the county court and sentenced to Dannemora prison, is now out on bail pending an appeal for a new trial. Can such things be?

CLARKSVILLE

Prohibition is now five years old in America and next Sunday will be known as “Concerted discussion Sunday,” when the majority of ministers will speak from their pulpits on this supremely important subject. At the 10:30 service, our pastor will speak on, “Shall America Go Back?” Every whiner for so-called “personal liberty” in the village and surrounding countryside, is cordially invited to this service, and will find a specially reserved seat awaiting him.

DELMAR

On January 25th, Miss Pauline Bedell and Rodman Allen were united in marriage by the Rev. Smith at the Reformed church parsonage in East Greenbush. The bride wore a dress of black satin trimmed in gold beading with a black silk hat to match. The bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy Bedell, was gowned in black satin with a picture hat of Henna silk. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Allen left for New York city where they spent their honeymoon.

NEW SCOTLAND

Mr. Clark took a sleigh ride party to Voorheesville last Wednesday night to hear the minstrels given by Slingerlands talent.

Plows Clearing the Roads

The work of clearing up after the biggest snow storm of the season is progressing nicely throughout the country districts. From eight to twelve or more inches fell on Tuesday.

Albany city’s new steel plow, with wide side flanges, opened many miles of city streets to traffic on Tuesday and Wednesday. The snow loader was the center of interest, as it did the work of many men in removing snow from gutters to auto trucks which were kept busy carting their white loads to the river to be dumped into the deeper Hudson.

MEADOWDALE

There are two farms to let in Meadowdale. We hope some one will rent them soon.
