NOTICE OF BOND RESOLUTION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a resolution, a summary of which is published herewith, has been adopted for the Town Board of the Town of New Scotland, Albany County, on the 11th day of January, 2017. The validity of the obligations authorized by such resolution may be hereafter contested only if:

(1) (a) such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Town of New Scotland is not authorized to expend money, or

(b) if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty days after the date of publication of this notice; or

(2) such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the Constitution of New York.

SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION

The following is a summary of a resolution adopted by the Town Board of the Town of New Scotland on January 11, 2017. Said resolution authorizes the issuance and sale of a serial bond or bonds and a bond anticipation note or notes in anticipation of the issuance and sale of said serial bonds, in an amount not to exceed $190,000. The proceeds from the sale of the obligations authorized in said resolution shall be used for the specific purpose of financing one  (1) Dump Truck and related equipment having a period of probable usefulness is fifteen (15) years. A copy of the resolution summarized herein is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Office of the Town Clerk located in the Town Hall, Town of New Scotland, New York.

Bids shall be received until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at which time said bids will be opened and read at the Town Hall, Berne, New York. The Town Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to split the award of said bids and to purchase said materials through New York State or Albany County Contract in the event that the Town is able to purchase through New York State or Albany County Contract for a price or sum more favorable to the Town at any time during 2017.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to a decision of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Knox Fire District in the Town of Knox, Albany County, New York, sealed bids for a new electronic signboard for the Knox Fire Station will be received by the Board of Fire Commissioners at the Knox Fire Station located at 2198 Berne Altamont Road, located in the Town of Knox, Albany County, New York until 7:00pm on February 14, 2017, at which time they will be publically opened and read aloud.

Bids will be submitted in a sealed envelope and may either be delivered between 6:00 and 7:00 pm as noted above or mailed to: ATTENTION: Frank Fuss, Knox Fire District, PO Box 3, Knox, NY 12107 and shall bear on the face thereof the name and address of the bidder along with the verbiage “Sealed Bid.”.
