To the Editor:

We at the Guilderland Chamber would like to congratulate Pyramid Corporation over its latest win in the courts regarding the Costco project [“Latest lawsuit to stop Costco is dismissed,” The Altamont Enterprise, Dec. 29, 2023].

My board, many members, and I feel very strongly about the importance of completing this project.

Rejecting Costco is only hurting our community through loss of revenue, time, and community reputation. It is the small and large businesses, through sales tax, that help pay for the emergency services, great schools, and libraries our community enjoys.

It takes businesses to keep a community vibrant and thriving.

Let’s put an end to these court battles. In the end, no one wins where constant conflict occurs.
