Christmas Land is exactly what Guilderland needs

To the Editor:

I have never felt the need to send in my two cents regarding an article until today, after I read the story on Christmas Land.

I am a lifelong Guilderland resident and invested in my community, since I am raising four children in it.  I feel that I, as well as many other long-term Guilderland residents, also possess a unique feel for the community.

Having visited Christmas Land this last December for the first time, I strongly believe that this business is exactly what Guilderland needs.

I found Christmas Land to be a wonderful family experience and not one of those businesses that exist just to take your money and provide you with the bare minimum. Every single employee we encountered during our visit had not only a smile but a genuinely happy-to-help demeanor as well.

Each activity we participated in encouraged creativity and kept my children’s attention (quite a feat!). We all left that day happy, unstressed, and anxious to go again next year.

The facilities were clean, the outdoors area was spotless and had quite the holiday atmosphere. I can understand the neighbors being concerned about traffic, since the area is rural and the curvy roads unfamiliar to those from outside the immediate area.

I think that using a radar sign as well as caution signs would be a good addition. Other than that, Christmas Land is completely perfect as is.
