Albany Medical Center and St. Peter’s Health Partners are suspending COVID-19 community testing, the hospitals announced on Thursday evening.

Effective immediately, St. Peter’s will be testing only symptomatic health-care providers at its Albany Memorial Campus at 600 Northern Blvd. in Albany.

Six months after being fired by St. Peter’s, Hedy Migden is practicing medicine again — as part of an independent practice — and has filed a $2 million claim against St. Peter’s and its parent company.

Doctors and patients are being caught in the crossfire as a health-care and an insurance giant battle.

Over 100 of Hedy Migden’s patients have already called to sign up for the independent practice she’ll be joining in January.
