What has happened to Soldier On? 

This project is a not-for-profit initiative designed to provide housing and services for our veterans. It is to be located on county-owned property at the Shaker site in Colonie.

In a wealthy country, community groups should not have to provide the care our veterans deserve; that is the solemn duty of government.

The Altamont post of the American Legion raised well over $15,000 toward a proposed housing complex that would support veterans struggling with homelessness and addiction.
