Two women vie for super, four battle for two town board seats

ALBANY COUNTY — The fifth expansion of the Rapp Road landfill into the Pine Bush has met with a not surprising challenge.

GUILDERLAND — The school district earned a B+ on its audit this year, according to Alan Walther who presented the independent audit to the school board on Oct. 6

“There’s always room for improvement,” Walther said.

GUILDERLAND — Supervisor Kenneth Runion announced last week, after The Enterprise editorialized on opening the budget process, that the town board would hold two special budget workshops in the month of October.

Dems’ Judge Jean Gagnon challenged by GOP’s Donati

KNOX — Democrat Jean Gagnon is running for a second four-year term as town justice, and will be challenged by Republican Bonnie Donati, who also ran in 2007.

ALTAMONT — The home of Altamont’s first mayor, The Hiram Griggs House on Prospect Terrace, will be placed on the National Register of Historic Places this year, the centennial of his death.
