On Tuesday evening at Tawasentha Park, the Guilderland Police Department put on the 10th annual National Night Out that meant to encourage crime prevention, which included a bounce house, pony rides, a petting zoo, games, and demonstrations.
On June 19, Guilderland Town Hall hosted the second annual Hometown Heroes program where new banners were unveiled and some of the new ones were current Guilderland Police officers.
Last weekend, the Westmere Fire department along with the other Town of Guilderland fire departments opened their doors in hopes of recruiting some new members to join since the number of volunteers are dropping across the nation.
