GUILDERLAND — A lawsuit brought last May in federal court against Timothy Horan — a retired teacher turned school board member — and the Guilderland School District has been settled with a payment of $117,500, court documents show.

At its May 23 meeting, several Guilderland school board members did raise questions about whether incidents from Horan’s campaign violated regulations.

GUILDERLAND — Timothy Horan, a 30-year career teacher set to retire at the end of the school year, won over 25 percent of the vote, making him the clear frontrunner in a five-way race for three school board seats.

“Real good night,” said Horan after the tally was announced Tuesday night.
