On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the Guilderland/Voorheesville/Schalmont/Scotia-Glenville/Mohonasen Storm hockey team opened up their season as they took on Niskayuna/Albany/Broadalbin-Perth/Schoharie Hawks at Messa Rink on the campus of Union College. The Storm started well but fell 4-to-0.

On Monday, Feb. 20, the Storm hockey team kicked off their Section 2 ice hockey championships as the 10 seed as they took on the LaSalle Cadets, the seven seed. It was choppy throughout the game and the Storm fell, 6 to 1.

On Friday March 5th, the Storm, made up of students from Guilderland-Mohonasen-Schalmont-Scotia/Glenville-Voorheesville, had a matchup against Saratoga at the Schenectady County Recreational Facility in Schenectady on Senior Night.

The Storm lived up to its name in a physical game on Friday, shutting out the Mohawks, 2 to 0, in the first Stick it to Cancer game at Union College. Each team is comprised of players from a number of high schools.
