Guilderland has a deep pitching staff this season, and it's saving the day.

BERNE — The elongated winter season already pushed back the start of the Section 2 baseball season by two weeks, and now the recent spell of rain has created more of a log-jam in the schedule.

After making 10 out of the last 11 Class AA finals, and winning four titles, the Guilderland tennis team is putting another stellar season together.

There were not many hits for Guilderland or Columbia during Monday's softball game, but Columbia hit one that counted, and early.

The Voorheesville lacrosse team has scored just three goals in four games this season, but, with a fearless goalie, the Birds' situation may get better.

ALBANY — Track and field can easily be associated with individualism, but personal records don’t count for anything at the Colonial Council Relays. If your team doesn’t win, then you don’t win.

Falling rain wasn't the only issue for Guilderland baseball last Friday.

The Dutchmen lacrosse team is 3-1, but coach says young players are taking time to learn, which he expected anyway.

VOORHEESVILLE — Voorheesville’s pitching was lackluster during its season-opening softball game on Monday with Albany Academy batters either crushing the low-velocity throws for big hits or getting a free base as the ball rolled to the backstop.
