After two miscarriages, Keegan Prue and Olivia Cohen-Prue of Altamont are preparing for their third round of in vitro fertilization. 

For many women, Mother’s Day is a holiday tinged with grief. For those who have miscarried or who have struggled with infertility, the holiday is a reminder of the children they long for.

Pregnancy and childbirth are both ordinary and extraordinary. They are both common and unique. As a doula, I treat them as such.
