Patriot Guard Riders, led by Don Miller, gathered in New Scotland beneath the Helderbergs on Sunday afternoon to honor Art Hamilton, a World War II Navy veteran who served during the D-Day invasion at Normandy.

A memorial placed on Robert Furnia’s lawn in Delanson Saturday is a customary symbol in military ceremony. Dog tags hung from a hard rubber training rifle that balanced a helmet on top and stood between a pair of military boots.
