Guilderland school district reported test results showing water in all five elementary schools have lead levels in some outlets above the safety threshold.
Following up on earlier test results that found three sinks in the elementary school with lead contaminants over the state limit, Voorheesville school district has now uncovered 11 locations in its elementary school with lead levels above the limit.
Within weeks after the discovery of lead-contaminated water in its elementary school, the Voorheesville school district has done further tests as well as held a community forum on Monday night to educate parents about what the discovery means.
Over the summer, the Guilderland school district found lead — below the allowable threshold — in the kitchens of five of its schools, and repiped all of the kitchens right away, although no remediation was legally required.
