COLONIE — Jane L. Knapp’s children describe her as fun-loving and easygoing. Although she had Alzheimer’s disease in her later years, she would “light right up” when her grandchildren came to visit her.

She died peacefully at her daughter’s home on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, with her loving family by her side. She was 87.
