A town park will be created in New Scotland at the site of the Hilton Barn. The land was given to the the town by the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy after it was donated by private landowners to the group.

An option to buy an acre of land across the street from an historic barn and next to the county's rail trail "is a critical step in allowing this project to go forward,” said Mark King of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy.

The LeVie-Hilton barn is just the latest in cherished places that have been lost; identifying what we value now will help preserve our remaining heritage for the future.
