Guilderland Police Explorer Post Sergeant Chrystal Tinney won an award for second place in the D.U.I. Enforcement category and received a medal at the Cadet Police Academy.
Thursday, April 3, is a statewide crackdown on motorists passing stopped school buses, which can result in a maximum $400 fine and five license points.
When a Guilderland resident asked what two intruders what they were doing, they stated that they had confused the house with the post office, and left.
"Chuck has the honest face and innocent look," said Senior Investigator Thomas Funk of his colleague, Charles Tanner III. "I’m a bigger guy — more intimidating.” The two work well together, and Funk was pleased that Tanner was recently recognized with an award from the district attorney.
