WESTERLO — After flipping his pickup truck in a residential driveway on Route 403, Thor M. Church ran from police and then knocked on a home’s door to get a ride before being arrested on March 26, according to the Albany County Sheriff’s Office.

Daniel Broomhall, of Knox, was charged with vehicular manslaughter, a felony, and driving while intoxicated, first-offense, a misdemeanor.

The Guilderland Police report said Howard R. Haver took off on foot after his car hit a utility pole, and that he was located a short time later.

ALBANY — For driving while intoxicated in Westerlo in October, a 25-year-old man from Delmar got two to six years in jail, a $2,000 fine, and an 18-month license revocation, according to a release from the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

KNOX — Dwayne Rockenstyre was sentenced to pay $845 after he was found guilty of a lesser driving-while-ability-impaired charge in a jury trial in June, with Judge James Corigliano presiding.

BERNE — Travis Gardineer, who was found guilty of driving while intoxicated in Berne’s most recent jury trial, was sentenced on Oct. 14 to use an ignition interlock device for one year, without probation, and to pay fines and surcharges of $1,176.

KNOX — Wesley Pulsifer was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years in prison for aggravated driving while intoxicated, a felony, on June 23, according to a release from Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Judge Peter A. Lynch of Albany County Court was presiding.

Judge James Corigliano allowed jurors to infer that, since the prosecution did not maintain the video footage requested by the defense, the missing evidence would have harmed the prosecution's case.

KNOX — Robert Bareis of Knox was sentenced to one to three years in state prison for driving while intoxicated, according to a release from the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.
