The New Scotland Planning Board granted Cynthia Elliott a special-use permit to have 15 events per season on Brownrigg Road. The board also heard plans for a residential subdivision and for a retail center.

Three of the many conditions the planning board wants to require for Cynthia Elliott to get a special-use permit to run a party business on her property don’t sit well with her.

At a packed hearing Tuesday, twice as many New Scotland residents spoke in favor of Cynthia Elliott’s plan for a party venue as spoke against. 

The planning board heard Cynthia Elliott's report on decibel studies and a re-invented driveway, and discussed the extension of term limits for both themselves and zoning board members.
