BERNE — As the sunny weather in the past week has sprouted seeds in backyards across the area, a couple is asking people to dig up their plants and bring them to the town park on May 16.
GUILDERLAND — Three teachers, two secretaries, and a principal were recognized this year by the school board for what Lin Severance called their “outstanding contributions to the Guilderland Central School District.”
PRESTON HOLLOW — The greenhouse on Route 145 will hold chrysanthemums and baked goods to bring people together at the Preston Hollow Beautification Committee’s annual fundraiser on Sept. 26 and 27.
The sun’s light and residents of the town’s hamlets filled the bays of the highway garage on the first day of June in Rensselaerville for a town-wide picnic.
Teenagers cast their lenses on the Hilltowns in December as part of a community arts project spearheaded by Pastor Wendy Cook of the Helderberg Evangelical Lutheran Church and Altamont artist Laura Provo-Parker. Their images were mostly printed in black and white and are on display in the Berne library.
