The "Stand Up 4 Transportation" rally was held at Crossgates to urge Congress to renew funding for the federal transportation bill, Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21), which expires at the end of May.
The new system would benefit commuters who need to go directly from one point to another quickly because they could bypass all the stops made on the typical local route.
