Last Thursday, Aug. 28, the Voorheesville girls’ soccer squad kicked off their season on the road as they took on Albany Academy for girls. The Blackbirds dominated the time of possession as they went on to win, 3 to 0.
On Saturday, May 6, the Voorheesville softball team traveled to Albany Academy for Girls for a makeup game due to a rain out. The Birds went hitless until the fourth inning and were able to scratch home a run. They lost, 10 to 1.
A tall sprinter from the Albany Academy for Girls took first place a long stretch in the 100-meter and 400-meter snowshoe sprints at the Empire State Winter Games on Feb. 9.
