On Monday, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo school board voted to approve the appointment of Mark Pitterson as the secondary school principal; Annette Landry as principal of the elementary school, and Tom Galvin as long-term substitute dean of students and athletic director.
BERNE — High school Principal Brian Corey will leave Berne-Knox-Westerlo in January to become the superintendent of a small rural school district in Schoharie County.
The school board returned Joseph Natale, a former interim business official, to Berne-Knox-Westerlo, voting with no opposition on his 13-month contract to head the district. He'll be paid $800 a day.
Unanimous votes on both sides ushered in three-year pact for six Guilderland administrators with a raise the district's negotiator called "modest" — 1.5 percent each year.
