St. John’s Lutheran Church will have the Aug. 21 worship service at Orsini Park at 10 a.m.

There will be a joint service of Holy Communion between Altamont Reformed Church and St. John's.

An offering to support the Community Vacation Bible School will be received, and VBS volunteers will be commissioned at this service.

Rev. Greg Zajac will deliver the adult message, and Rev. Roger Krutz the children's message. Both messages will be based on the scripture lesson for the day, Jeremiah 1:4-10, the call of the prophet Jeremiah.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.

In case of rain, the service will be held in the sanctuary of St. John's.
