The Dean's Award for academic excellence at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York is awarded to students with a 3.30 or higher term average. These local students have earned Dean's Award recognition for the spring 2016 semester:

— Nicole Brower, Clayton A Bouton High School graduate and an education major in the Class of 2019, from East Berne;

— Lindsey Derbyshire, Bethlehem Central High School graduate and a computer science major in the Class of 2018, from Slingerlands;

— Garrett Esper, Loomis Chaffee School graduate and a biochemistry major in the Class of 2018, from Slingerlands; and

— Daniel Mahoney,  Albany Academies graduate and a classics major in the Class of 2018, from Slingerlands.
