Barbara Jean Raymer

Barbara Jean Raymer, a mother and grandmother who had worked for an insurance company, died in her North Bay, New York home on Saturday, July 2, 2016, surrounded by her loving family following a short illness. She was 68.

She was born April 27, 1948 in Montreal, Québec, a daughter of John and Ethel Broome Stephens and was a graduate of Outremont High School in Montreal.

On July 29, 1978 she married Rusty E. Raymer in Wynantskill, New York. They had lived in the town of Knox prior to moving to the North Bay area in 2012.

Mrs. Raymer was a service specialist with Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. in Latham for many years prior to retiring in 2009.

She is survived by her husband, Rusty Raymer; her daughter, Chantelle, and her husband, Peter Nobis, of Taberg, New York; three grandchildren, Amelia, Hayden, and Blake Nobis; two sisters, Debra and her husband, Pierre Fortin, Hemmingford, of Quebec, and Holly Stephens of LaSalle, Quebec; her brother, John Stephens, of Deux Montagnes, Quebec; and several nieces and nephews.

Her brother, George Stephens, died in 2002.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 7, from LaRobardiere Funeral Home Inc., in Camden, New York with interment in North Bay Cemetery.  Mourners may write condolences online at www.larobardierefuneralhome.com.
