St. John's

St. John's Lutheran Church, on Maple Ave. will be using a special liturgy

for Independence Weekend entitled, “Thy Kingdom Come”.  The second

petition of the Lord’s Prayer is the inspiration for this service which

invites the worshipers to see the hand of God at work in our nation.  The

service includes the familiar hymns, "Oh, Worship the King", "O God Our

Help in Ages Past", "Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise", and the "Battle

Hymn of the Republic".  Holy Communion will be celebrated as part of the
service
