Vito Mesiti of Slingerlands is a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute men's soccer team, which is ranked eighth in the nation.

A Guilderland graduate and the son of Kyle and Nick Mesiti, Mesiti is a junior at RPI studying mechanical engineering. 

In 2014, he played 18 games, including 11 as a starter. He had three goals and two assists for eight points, tying for second on the team in assists. He had 17 shots with seven on goal and one game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Vassar.

His father played basketball at Rensselaer in 1983.
