Richard E. Sellick
GALLUPVILLE — Richard E. Sellick was proud to be a registered vascular technologist and was a classic car fan. He died on Friday, June 26, 2015 at St. Peter’s Hospital surrounded by his family. He was 45.
Mr. Sellick was born on July 7, 1969, in Albany to Richard E. and Barbara Johnston Sellick. He graduated from Schoharie High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College.
Mr. Sellick married his wife, Trish (née Barton) Sellick, on Sept. 9, 1994.
Mr. Sellick worked at Saratoga Cardiology Associates and was a member of the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
“He was a classic car fan committed to keeping his old Pontiac going,” his family wrote in a tribute. Mr. Sellick was also liked to attend car shows, they wrote.
“He also enjoyed restoring his home with his wife, Trish, on Sellick Road; tending the gardens and cooking for family and friends; traveling; coin collecting; and exploring,” his family wrote.

Mr. Sellick is survived by his wife, Trish; his brother, Scott Sellick, and his daughter, Lee Anne, of Gallupville; his sister, Lynn Reilly, and her son, Thomas, and her daughter, Meghan, of Stony Brook, Long Island; his mother, Barbara Sellick, of Guilderland; his uncle, Al Sellick, and his wife, Sue, of Gallupville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and longtime close friends.
Mr. Sellick’s grandparents died before him, as did his father, Richard E. Sellick.
A period of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 25, at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Schoharie. A service to share memories and to celebrate Mr. Sellick’s life will begin immediately after, at noon.
