Rosemond Ann Lawson

VORHEESVILLE — Rosemond Ann Lawson, an artist and a teacher, was a kind and patient wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Formerly of Voorheesville, she died peacefully in the Teresian House Nursing Care Center in Albany on Saturday, April 12, 2026 after a brief illness. She was 92.

Daughter of the late Peter and Mary Deitz LoBello, she was born on May 7, 1933 in Kingston, New York.

“Rosemond was a graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz and received a bachelor of arts degree in art education,” her family wrote in a tribute. “She went on to work at Elsmere Elementary, then took a break to raise her family. She went back to work when her children were older at the Early Childhood Education Center in Altamont.

“Rosemond enjoyed working in her flowerbeds. She was an artist who enjoyed painting, photography, and many other crafts. She painted on just about anything! Even painting an entire bedroom mural for one of her granddaughters.

“She was a patient and kind wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and love for life.’
