Enjoy a fashion show and lunch while helping needy children

To the Editor:

The Christ Child Society, Albany Chapter is hosting a Red Wagon Luncheon and Fashion Show on Saturday, April 18, at the Italian American Community Center on Washington Avenue Extension in Albany.

The event will begin with coffee and pastry at 10:30 a.m. followed by a fashion show at 11 a.m., featuring unique and fashionable women’s apparel by J. Jill, accessories, and footwear. Our models will be the members of the Christ Child Society.

At 11:30 a.m., we welcome our guest speaker, Deacon Gari Riggi. He is the deacon at Our Lady of the Valley Church in Middleburgh and is the director of engagement at the City Mission of Schenectady.

Please come and join us. All are welcome — reserve a table for friends and family to enjoy the event.

Lunch will be served at noon. Selections are chicken parmesan with penne pasta, baked salmon with balsamic reduction and fried leeks, vegan cauliflower piccata, and chicken fingers for children. Adult reservations are $50 per person and child reservations are $20 per person to be paid in advance by either check or PayPal.

There will be a drawing for many lovely theme baskets put together by volunteers, along with door prizes. Your reservation is necessary no later than April 1 and you must let us know in advance if you cancel.

Please call Cathy Pastore at 518-669-4446 for further information and to make your reservations. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation to assist the needy children of the Diocese of Albany.
