A kindergartner at Westmere Elementary School said “W” was his favorite letter because his favorite restaurant is OTW — Orchard Tavern West in Guilderland. He then said, “And I know what OTW says, it says Italian food.” When the owner, Kris Monforte, heard this he hosted a pizza party for the class, serving pepperoni and cheese pizzas and salad, on Feb. 13. The teachers set up a Pizzeria Pretend Center for the month with pretend pizza and drinks, and real aprons and ordering pads where the kids could pretend that they worked at a pizzeria.
