“Dorothy, ‘Dot’ to many friends and family, met the love of her life, Arlington ‘Link’ Lee in Westerlo,” her family wrote in a tribute. “They were married on Oct. 10, 1953, celebrating almost 63 years together before his passing in 2016.

“Dorothy spent her last few years at the Delmar Center Rehabilitation and Nursing making new friends before passing peacefully under their care.

“She lived on the ‘hill’ for many years, raising two children and nurturing grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known to have a green thumb, she spent time inside and outside her home tending to plants and gardening.

“She loved music. Gospel and country were her favorites, with the greats like Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Hank Williams, and you could always find her singing along.

“She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be missed by all. It’s the little things in life that touch us and leave their mark on us. Our memories of those moments will forever keep her in our hearts.

“She was loved beyond measure. We were blessed to have her in our lives. Rest gently in heaven’s arms.”
